Hypermotive awarded InnovateUK funding for HyperGration
Hypermotive are delighted to announce the award of a new £1.25m funded project, HyperGration from InnovateUK under the Zero Emissions Propulsion Collaborative R&D programme. Working with Innervated Vehicle engineering, we will be developing and demonstrating new smart integration technologies for hydrogen fuel cell propulsion systems.
Project HyperGration will tackle the key barrier of the cost, skills and time required for bespoke integration of fuel cell propulsion systems, unblocking a significant restriction on the update of solutions across mobility sectors. HyperGration will package Hypermotive’s expertise and experience in fuel cell integration and control into a flexible, commercial product, H:CONTROL®.
H:CONTROL® is a smart integration product, providing intelligent, automated power management, supervisory control and interfacing of hydrogen power systems. H:CONTROL® will significantly reduce the engineering time and cost of bringing hydrogen power to market.
Innervated Vehicle Engineering will test H:CONTROL® on their hydrogen fuel cell commercial vehicle platform, demonstrating the system on production-intent hardware.
This project will enable wider adoption of such systems within the many niche and non-automotive markets where hydrogen has a key role to play in the decarbonisation pathway.
